Good Afternoon!
I have a Moleskine Diary which I like to write/draw things about my daily life. I only do this on a time to time basis, depending how interesting my life actually is… (which is poo at the moment…). Nevertheless, I don’t normally share things from my diary, but yes, these are my SEPTEMBER FAVOURITES and MOMENTS!
I’ll mention a few things in detail…
*beware… essay below, you might wanna boil that kettle for a cuppa…*
1. Best Moments!
I went to the Tate Modern in London to see an exhibition. ‘Henri Mattise: The Cut-Outs’. It was a bit dear for my liking but the works was absolutely beautiful!!! EVERYTHING WAS SOOOOO COLOURFUL!!!! My favourites would have to be ‘Oceania: Sky and Sea’ and his ‘Blue Nudes’ Collection. I can’t explain my love for the Oceania piece, it was very simple, but delicate too! During the exhibition, I took some notes and did little colourful drawings on my phone because this idiot forgot to bring her book and pen to an art gallery! YU idiot! I may or may not post them at a later date on this blog, we’ll see…
I took a visit to the Serpentine Gallery to see the Pavilion. I couldn’t grasp onto what the architect was trying to convey. No offence. There was a window, which I looked through many times and I COULDN’T SEE IT!!! What was I suppose to see? What view was he trying to highlight!!! Yeah… I would have pointed that window towards the gallery to connect both spaces together… never mind, not like I was the Architect…
2. Fave Music
Oh music! We all know Taylor Swift and her new ‘pop’ song ‘Shake it off!’. It’s a catchy song I like it! Then, my little sister got me into this Korean boy band called ‘Infinite’. The music is quite dub-step or rockish for my liking but I quite like it… (it may wear off me in the future and I’ll probably regret this… hahaha) … I’m more of the mainstream/slow/ballad gal to be!
3. Fave Food and Drink!
A fave food and drink is a MUST for me! I LOVE EATING!!! There’s no shame to express that! During my London visit, my cousin booked a table at ‘BIG EAT’. It’s located in Covent Garden. I chose a Mojito Slushie, I mean, who wouldn’t have? Plus a SEAFOOD PLATTER! It had everything imaginable! King prawns, lobster claws, muscles and little cute clams! It was nice a garlicy, definitely on my street… and definitely not a place to be on dates too! Hahaha x’D
4. Fave Films…
TURBO and THE INTERNSHIP was soooo freaking funny! I watched them both on the train to and fro London! I must have looked a right idiot to be laughing so loud on the ”Quiet Coach”…
5. Fave Outfit and Buy of the Month
I shopped for a few pieces, I practically bought a new outfit… and yes, the blazer is there to smarten me up… so I can feel like a grown up! Except that mother said I looked like my older sister and I looked waaay tooo old! *coughs*… Mother, what are you trying to say?
6. Fave TV…
Okay, this is bad, I am currently rewatching, Vampire Diaries!!! Infact, Season 6 premiers today in America… I can’t wait to watch it!!! But yes, there are a lot of seasons and it’s so good! I love all the supernatural stuff! Vampires, werewolves, witches, original vampires, doppelgänger’s, hybrids! How exciting!
BUT, not as exciting as THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF!!! It’s so GOOD!!! I watched last nights semi final episode and Richard was STAR BAKER FIFTH TIME!!! Yes, I support Richard all the way!!! I really really really really really really want him to WIN GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF!!! We’ll find out next week…

The Creative Book 001-004
A few months ago… yes… a few months ago! I bought this ‘Creative Book' in Paperchase. A lovely stationery shop which I absolutely adore because I am a stationery freak! I LOVE STATIONERY!!!!
I came across this plain book and liked the look of everything! The empty pages were waiting to be filled with lots and lots and lots of drawings! Plus it was square! I love the shape of it!
Once I arrived home, all I wanted to do was draw and add a splash of colour here and there. Whatever you see above, is how my brain works! I just go with the flow. I’m almost the ‘creative driven’ type of person, so once an idea struck my head, I draw!
Drawing and Writing is very therapeutic for me. The idea of documenting something on paper gives me that break faaar awaaay from the internet planet. When I feel like I need a break from life, my sketchbook and journal awaits me. It’s something to keep me company when family and friends are busy with their lives. Plus, it’s nice to have alone time now and then! Does drawing and writing make you happy?

Happy Mid Autumn Festival!!!

The special occasion is here once again!!! I still can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I drew last years post!!! Time flies so quick!!!

Here is a GIF animation and a very very very very very CUTE MOON!!!

Find the moon tonight and see it at its most BRIGHTEST AND ROUNDEST OF THE YEAR!!!!

Much Love xx

Hello YU wonderful people!!!

You’re such a “good friend”, Chris Day, Thank YU a latte for nominating me to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challange. Challenge accepted!!!

As you all probably know there is a massive rave over the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. You get nominated by someone else to pour ice water over your head, if not, then you donate to the ‘ALS Association’. Something along the lines…

MND, Motor Neuron Disease (UK) or ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (US), is a disease that slowly degenerates the nerve cells that controls the body. If you want to know more about this disease, please click on the following link to read more.

UK http://www.mndassociation.org/what-is-mnd

USA http://www.alsa.org/about-als/what-is-als.html

I know this charity foundation is based in the USA and I’m based in the UK. Regardless where I am from, I believe that which ever foundation WE donate to, this fund can help researcher’s edge closer to the answer they are trying to find. Every little help from everyone in this planet can make a HUGE difference to this world and a better place for us!

It explains why I haven’t done the actual challenge. One, I don’t want to waste any more water than we already consume. Two, the CUTE penguins, polar bears and seals need this water to survive and swim and play and have lots of FUN! Finally, Three, I don’t like the cold! Haha x’D (no seriously, it’s cold these days, my family has a cold which means I may suffer along with them… *crying*)

So by using my magic hands and magical powers, I “quickly” drew up a GIF animation to show my support. This was definitely more fun to do than pouring ice water over me!

I nominate NO ONE, only because I want to conserve those many buckets of ice water for the world… it’s not fair to those who doesn’t have easy access to water like we do have access to the internet. I hope the world will understand what I am talking about.

I have donated on my part as well as my younger brother, who did the challenge a few days ago! Remember to donate!!!!

Love,
Emma x

p.s I’m sorry if I haven’t posted much lately, I really am trying… is posting once a month still regular blogging? Hahaha x’D

A small tribute to Robin Williams. You have played a part of my childhood life! You will be missed!

The only Robin William related films I have seen is Aladdin, Flubber and Jumanji. Hence the funny looking drawings I drew…

TA-DA!!! This is my NEW SKETCH BOOK!!! It will document everything from my daily life, to mini comics, to weird sketches, to practice sketches, to everything IMAGINABLE!!!
I searched high and low for a sketchbook that was square. Not grainy but very matt with bleach white paper. I didn’t want creamy coloured paper because I like adding colours to my drawings… you’ll see. ;P
PLUS! I have created an INSTAGRAM Account!!!
Follow: @drawnbyyu
http://instagram.com/drawnbyyu
Yay! I like using Instagram time to time! It will get confusing considered I have my own personal one as well as @drawnbyyu
I will use ‘hashtags’ such as #drawnbyyu and #ayuoriginal for my sketchbook drawings… I may post other things too, so if you’re lucky to have Instagram you will see MUCH MORE!!!! Can’t wait!!!!
Now I need to leave to start filling Instagram… it’s empty at the moment…Until next time. Take Cares. x The moment we have all been waiting for… drum rolls please…

Omg! Can’t believe the University is letting me GRADUATE this year!!!! I’m soooo FREAKING HAPPY!!! Hard work pays off with great rewards!!! x’D

Hello, long time no see…

I’m so proud to announce that I’M GRADUATING!!! I posted this doodle on my own Facebook and wanted to share this with the world!!! And since it’s been a while… No worries… I’M BACK!!!

I haven’t posted hand drawings as much as I should, I really enjoy doing these cute drawings and I thank my friends(they know who they are) for allowing me to practice while sending them these cute little letters!!! They inspire me everyday!!! So keep your eyes out because that notebook you see above, is something I’ve been working on and I really really can’t wait to share it with you all!!! It’s full of surprises…

Until next time, take cares. Much Love xx

#WARNING: What you read below is me blabbering… but I want to let my heart out for once. I will feel better… So if you cant be bothered reading, you better leave right now, before you fall into a dark pit of doom. Haha.#

Yes, yes. I know. I disappeared for a VERY long time. But I actually wanted to wait until this day.

If the public must know. I isolated myself for all these months because I needed to revise as well as other bits and bobs that was happening in my life. I think half of me was trapped, working part time in my family’s business and opening my online shop was quite a pickle if I must say. I have indeed been very busy. But now that I have this huge weight lifted off of me I can finally be free(ish…)!!!

And I couldn’t have done this without my family and friends who has supported me and encourage me to do the things I love most! No words can express my gratitude to them! Without them, I’d be jelly. They are my life support. Hence, jelly. They give me that ‘structured support’ (pun intended) and maybe I could be the ‘façade’… (too much architectural puns? Haha.) I’m so THANKFUL to be able to have my family by my side and to truly know who my real friends are!

I cannot wait to embark on a wonderful journey, seek awesome adventures and be inspired by those around me! It’s so exciting!

I am lost for words… my dad is back from work, he is yet to find out! Eeeep! Speak soon little ones!!! And see YU all soon!!! (probably next week…) x’D xxx

Happy VALENTINES Day!!!

~Sometimes the Best Gifts are the Memories!~

I hope you Lovey Dovey couples have a wonderful night!!

And you Singles, don’t worries, maybe next year you’ll spend your Valentine with someone you truly love, let it be a surprise!

Much Love xx
